The Canadian Brewhouse Group is seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in accounting principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience, a CPA designation, and a degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (BCom). Experience in the hospitality sector, including restaurants, bars, and hotels, will be considered a significant asset. Responsibilities : Perform month-end close procedures including reconciliation of accounts and investigation of discrepancies Maintain accounting practices, processes, and internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports to management Prepare year-end working papers, liaise with auditors, and provide necessary documentation as required Support the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with local and federal tax regulations Ensure compliance with provincial and federal government reporting requirements, filings and related payments, including GST / PST Support the operations department with routine finance tasks Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and identify areas for improvement Perform trend, variance, sensitivity, and other ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling Provide leadership to accounting technicians and accounting clerks, assisting with appropriate accounting treatment of transactions Other special projects as assigned Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (BCom). CPA designation required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in the hospitality industry (restaurants, bars, hotels) is preferred. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
