Senior Accountant

You will :

• Prepare and / or review journal entries, payment reconciliations, balance sheet accounts and internal reports
• Prepare bank reconciliations and Statistics Canada reporting
• Prepare financial information including trial balances, bank reporting, financial statements and write reports
• Reconcile financial data, audit report data and act as a planning resource for budgeting process
• Ensure organization complies with financial regulations and tax laws and participate in audits as required
• Ensure team deliverables are completed accurately and on time, reinforce best practices and promote an innovative and collaborative work environment

Successful candidates will have :

• 5+ years accounting experience; or 2+ years public accounting experience is an asset
• Extensive experience in auditing financial records, identifying potential areas of opportunity and risk
• Professional designation (CPA) or working towards CPA Designation
• Demonstrated organizational adaptability and respect for confidentiality
• Proven ability to work with high volume, complex transactions
• Recognized strength and pride in attention to detail, numerical accuracy and solution oriented mindset
