Job Title : Property Accountant

Location : Hybrid role based in our Edmonton Corporate Office

Join SNDL’s finance team as a Property Accountant, where you’ll be instrumental in managing property-related financials and supporting key real estate operations. This hybrid role will allow you to handle everything from lease administration and rent processing to financial reconciliations, ensuring our property portfolio runs smoothly and efficiently.

As a Property Accountant, you’ll work both independently and collaboratively with our Finance, Accounts Payable, and Real Estate teams, gaining hands-on experience in property accounting in a supportive and innovative environment.

What You’ll Do :

  • Manage Rent Payments : Oversee general rent administration, monthly processing, and timely payments.
  • Vendor Management : Set up new landlord vendors and update existing ones, ensuring all information is verified and up-to-date.
  • Reconciliation Review : Evaluate operating cost reconciliations, rent adjustment notices, and invoices to maintain accuracy.
  • Lease Data Maintenance : Keep our Lucernex system current with lease information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Subtenant Oversight : Manage subtenant accounts, including payment collections and general communications.
  • Collaborate with Teams : Work closely with the Finance and Accounts Payable teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support Real Estate Initiatives : Provide general assistance to the VP of Real Estate and the broader Real Estate team.

What You Bring to the Table :

  • Experience & Education : 1-2 years of relevant experience; a college degree or industry certification is a plus.
  • Skills : Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work Ethic : Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Team Spirit : A supportive, ethical team player passionate about our company’s success.
  • Other Requirements : Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a basic security clearance.
