- Monitor and report on governance performance – prepare and deliver regular updates to senior leadership on the status of AI governance initiatives, including performance metrics, compliance status and risk management activities.
- Support audits and assessments – facilitate regular reviews of AI systems and initiatives to validate adherence to governance standards and address any gaps or ethical concerns.
- Maintain governance documentation and asset inventory – oversee the creation and ongoing management of governance documentation, including policies, standards and a centralized inventory of AI initiatives and assets.
- Serve as governance and compliance liaison – act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on matters related to AI governance, compliance and responsible use.
- Facilitate the AI Centre of Excellence – lead the coordination of the AI Centre of Excellence, fostering collaboration across a community of AI practitioners to drive strategic adoption and measurable business impact.
- Engage with external partners and industry leaders – build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, industry bodies and regulatory organisations to stay informed on emerging trends, evolving governance frameworks and best practices in AI.
- Anticipate and address emerging AI risks and opportunities – stay ahead of evolving AI trends, technologies and risks. Proactively assess implications and coordinate with accountable teams to define governance responses and policy positions.
- Champion responsible enablement of AI innovation – balance governance and compliance with enablement by partnering with Learning & Development on AI literacy and evangelism, and across the enterprise to ensure governance frameworks support responsible experimentation, scalable deployment and business value realization.
