Our client, an industry leader in seafood processing, is seeking a Power Engineer to join their team. As a Power Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Power Engineer (3rd or 4th Class)

Location: Bathurst, New Brunswick

Pay Range: $50000 - $60000

Employment Type: Permanent full time

What's the Job?

• Ensure the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment within the seafood processing plant to maximize efficiency and safety.
• Manage daily and strategic engineering tasks, including maintaining and developing manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Oversee critical plant machinery such as boilers, compressors, refrigeration systems, and fire protection equipment.
• Conduct tests and studies to optimize machinery utilization and performance.
• Collaborate with vendors on equipment procurement, specifications, and manufacturing capabilities.

What's Needed?

• Willing to relocate to travel distance of the plant.
• Class 4, Power Engineer license,
• Minimum 3 years of experience in related work,
• Experience in managing industrial machinery and plant equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment, food production.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and hazard management in industrial settings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and team members.
• Ability to perform tests, conduct performance studies, and implement improvements.
