Working under the direction and supervision of the General Manager, the Boring Mill Machinist sets up, maintains, and operates large and heavy CNC machine tools to tap, bore, and ream metal parts.
Shift: Afternoons, Mon-Thurs 4:30pm-3am (half hour unpaid lunch)
Wage range: $28-$32/hr + $2.50/hr afternoon shift premium

Responsibilities
Operate various machine shop equipment such as: Lathes, Mills, Boring Mills, Drills, Saws, and Machining Centers.
Study charts, drawings, sample parts to determine the machining operation required.
Read and interpret blueprint.
Regularly check parts for defects and maintain/repair equipment as required.
Write and edit programs using FANUC software.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
A minimum of 3 years programming CNC machines using G codes is necessary.
Familiarity with FANUC is required.
Demonstrated ability to program and operate a horizontal boring mill is required.
Experience using CAD/CAM software is an asset.
In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use and care.
