Job description

We offer top quality workmanship in pipe fabrication and welding, as well as personalized customer service throughout the entire process, from estimate to delivery.

Rambler Fabrication is now looking to add a Project Coordinator to the team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day project and shop requirements, including correspondence with customers and internal project teams.
• Communicate project due dates, priorities, and schedule requirements to the shop floor.
• Follow up with vendors regarding material availability, late deliveries, and outstanding orders.
• Procure project and shop materials as required.
• Facilitate and coordinate vendor and project quotes.
• Assist with the preparation, submission, and tracking of Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Maintain and manage Spool Record Sheets (SRS) and ensure records are kept current and accurate.
• Prepare and maintain project binders and associated project documentation.
• Print, organize, and distribute drawings and other project documentation for the shop floor.
• Coordinate the procurement of spool nameplates and ensure they are available as required for fabrication.
• Liaise between Rambler and TMBT/Whaler to coordinate project requirements, information, schedules, and deliverables.
• Assist with document control and maintain organized project and fabrication records.
• Assist with tracking project materials, drawings, and outstanding items to support fabrication schedules.
• Support the shop team with general project coordination and administrative requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with drafting and fabrication software such as AutoCAD, SpoolFab, ProCAM, or similar programs would be considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and project documentation would be an asset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Strong work ethic and results-driven approach.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting a collaborative shop team.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Positive and professional approach when communicating with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in an office, construction, fabrication, or manufacturing environment would be an asset.
• Experience with project coordination, procurement, or document control would be an asset.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SpoolFab, ProCAM, or similar drafting/fabrication software would be an asset.
• Previous experience reading mechanical or fabrication drawings would be an asset.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work within a fabrication shop environment and regularly communicate with shop personnel.
• Occasional interaction with customers, vendors, and project personnel may be required.
