Dashwood Industries Inc., a major manufacturer and distributor of windows and entrance systems for the residential and commercial markets, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering.
Strong CAD skills.
Strong documentation and presentation skills.
Trained in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, including but not limited to 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Set up Reduction, or Six Sigma.
Must have 3 - 5 years manufacturing experience.
Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Product design an asset.
Window and door manufacturing experience an asset.

Responsibilities:

Create and assist in the implementation of design and process changes that improve quality, reduce cost and/or improve performance.
Maintain documentation & audits for structural and thermal testing.
Participate in Lean initiatives.
Introduce new manufacturing and assembly processes to production.
Analyze existing production methods and implement quick set ups.
Develop and implement cost reductions initiatives.
New equipment specification, procurement, and installation.
Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve problems.
Design fixtures, jigs and tools for use in manufacturing.
Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing and design problems.
Perform time studies.
Analyze Special Product Requests for Production and Purchased part requirements.
