Job description



Purpose:
The Communications and Website Assistant is responsible for creating print, digital, and multi-media resources, communications content, and maintaining websites.

Education:
Must be enrolled as a York student.

Experience:
Previous work experience may be considered.

Skills:
- Ability to creatively write content to engage an intended audience.
- Ability to meet deadlines and organize time effectively.
- Ability to create and update websites.
- Ability to learn and use a variety of computer applications.
- Ability to generate new ideas or recommend changes to existing programs.
- Ability to use social and digital media to effectively communicate or respond to others.
- Ability to interpret and apply best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of graphic design software and platforms (such as Photoshop and Illustrator).
