Job Description

Vortex Stratégie & recrutement is actively seeking a Senior Accounting Technician for its client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company located on Montreal’s South Shore.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, our client is looking for an experienced professional who enjoys being involved in various aspects of accounting and is looking to play a key role within a dynamic team.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable;

• Process and oversee payroll;

• Manage invoicing, collections and customer follow-ups;

• Process supplier invoices and issue payments;

• Perform bank reconciliations;

• Participate in journal entries and month-end closing activities;

• Ensure the accuracy and proper follow-up of various accounting files;

• Work closely with the company’s various departments.

Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in Accounting or any other accounting-related diploma;

• 5 or more years of experience in a similar role;

• Fluency in both French and English is required in order to communicate regularly with operations and business partners in Quebec and the United States;

• Strong experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable;

• Good knowledge of payroll processing;

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a strong asset;

• Good proficiency with computer tools and accounting software;

• Strong autonomy, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills;

• Team player with resourcefulness and a strong attention to detail.
