Position: Permanent/ Local Position (Non-Camp/Non-FIFO)
Location: 220 Taiganova Crescent, Fort McMurray, Alberta
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8-hour day shifts

What I will be doing?
  • Leads the full sales cycle for Acden’s wholly owned companies in Fort McMurray, across commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial sectors.

  • Grows professional networks and maintains strong, lasting client relationships.

  • Supports the development and implementation of sales strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

  • Identifies and targets new business opportunities and potential customers within the region through networking, cold-calling, and research.

  • Drives revenue growth by closing sales in the commercial, industrial, and construction sectors.

  • Continuously monitors and evaluates sales performance metrics to assess progress and refine sales strategies accordingly.

  • Travels to client locations, strategic industry conferences, and other events as required and approved by the Business Development Manager or designate.

  • Addresses customer concerns and inquiries promptly, providing solutions and ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Creates new quotes and Service Agreements and maintains existing accounts.

  • Conducts service-related presentations and demonstrations that showcase the features and benefits of our offerings.

  • Provides accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software system.

What does Acden need from me?
  • Experience and strong understanding of the Fort McMurray market and local business economy.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, with a proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.

  • Demonstrates strong initiative, a high level of self-motivation, and a results-driven mindset to proactively achieve goals.

  • Valid Class Five (5) Driver’s License with a clean abstract.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Clear and precise verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collect and analyze data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations.

  • Results driven individual.

What are the "nice to haves"?
  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education is an asset.

  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations and communities is considered is an asset.

  • Knowledge of CRM software platforms; experience with Salesforce is considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of Indigenous history, culture, protocols, and governance.
