Do you want to work with and be responsible for maintaining the biggest mining equipment as a Heavy Equipment Technician at Suncor? If you are passionate about safety, maintaining heavy equipment, building positive relationships and working within a very dynamic team environment, then this role is definitely for you! You will support our mine maintenance team by safely maintaining our heavy equipment fleet to ensure optimum reliability and availability of the assets.

Minimum Requirements :

• Two years of post-apprenticeship experience maintaining mining heavy equipment
• Experience with Caterpillar (CAT) auxiliary equipment, Komatsu haul trucks, Hitachi shovels and P&H 4100 shovels
• A Valid Alberta Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (Off Road) Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician (Off Road) Certificate
• Superior mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with computers to retrieve data for equipment maintenance
• Motivation, initiative and a strong work ethic
• A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
