About the Role
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Manager, Global Compliance who is passionate about building strong quality systems, navigating regulatory requirements, and leading with collaboration. This role owns the company-wide Quality Management System (QMS) and ensures compliance with Health Canada, FDA GMP, and other global standards, supporting both new product launches and ongoing commercial manufacturing across Canada and the U.S.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a regulated environment, enjoys elevating processes, and believes in empowering their team toward shared success.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensuring compliance with Health Canada, FDA GMP, EU GMP, and other regulations
- Leading audits, inspections, and CAPA closure
- Investigating and resolving customer & supplier complaints
- Deep understanding of QMS documentation and document control
- Supporting business planning and executing quality initiatives
- Leading with your team (collaborative, empowering leadership)
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Lead global records management and Trackwise eQMS
- Approve SOPs, specs, and controlled documents
- Deliver QMS and compliance training
- Maintain QAP/Alternate QAP designation as required
- Conduct complaint, deviation, and material review investigations
- Resolve supplier and customer quality issues
- Drive timely closure of CAPAs and change controls
- Analyze KPIs and trends to implement corrective actions
- Host regulatory and customer audits
- Manage internal/external audit programs and findings
- Lead product recalls and returns
- Build strong relationships with customer QA teams
- Support daily QA operations, qualifications & validations
- Work with suppliers and CMOs on quality expectations
- Communicate effectively with Quality and senior leadership
- Foster a collaborative, efficient, continuous‑improvement culture
- Support business planning and execution
- Occasional travel within Canada
What You Bring
- 3–5 years in a Health Canada or FDA regulated industry
- Post-secondary education; B.Sc. preferred
- Manufacturing experience in a GMP environment (pharma, food, beverage, cannabis, or similar)
- Experience with regulatory agencies
- Knowledge of Health Canada regs, FDA GMP, EU GMP
- Proficiency with MS Office; Trackwise eQMS & SAP experience an asset
- Strong communication, problem‑solving & project management skills
- A team‑focused, collaborative leadership style
