Job Description

Partner Staffing  is currently working with our client seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Engineer to join their dynamic team in Kelowna. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and transit systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and oversee transportation engineering projects from conceptual design through to detailed design and construction.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments, and traffic analysis.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Participate in public consultations and stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Alberta, or eligibility to obtain it.
  • 3-6 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on road and highway design.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic analysis tools (e.g., SYNCHRO, VISSIM).
  • Strong understanding of transportation planning principles, traffic engineering, and geometric design standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
