My client in Montreal is looking for a Senior Advisor, Process Safety for their operational and functional safety sites. The successful person will ensure the reporting of key indicators on the state of health and process safety to the Management Committee. In collaboration with the Minerals sites, they will need to develop an implementation plan for the functional safety standard. Act as a liaison with the central process safety and functional safety groups. Relocation assistance provided if needed
Experience :
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., chemical / process / mechanical / industrial / electrical engineering)
3-5 year prior engineering experience and a thorough understanding of good engineering practices and international codes and standards for the safe design of facilities, relevant to the country of operation.
Strong operational experience in a major risk facility or industry, using recognized processes or regulations such as CSA Z767, OSHAPSM, CCPS or the Energy Institute.
Demonstrate process hazard analysis techniques (HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-Tie, ALARP, LOPA) and consequence modeling.
Experience leading investigations of significant incident events.
Leadership experience in process safety, operations, process control, or technical / engineering roles in heavy industries.
Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.
Ability to travel regularly to go on-site (20-30% travel)
