Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Cycle Counter for a temporary opportunity in a manufacturing environment in Barrie, ON. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented inventory professional with RF scanning experience, counterbalance forklift skills, and a strong understanding of cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and inventory accuracy.

As an Inventory Cycle Counter, you will support accurate inventory control by performing regular counts, investigating discrepancies, and working closely with material handlers, team leaders, supervisors, and planners. You will receive hands-on training alongside an experienced day shift team member before transitioning to the assigned shift. Key Responsibilities

- Perform regular inventory cycle counts, stock takes, and year-end physical inventory counts.
- Investigate, document, and reconcile inventory discrepancies according to approved procedures.
- Use RF scanners and computerized inventory systems to track, verify, and update inventory information.
- Communicate with material handlers, team leaders, supervisors, and material planners regarding inventory locations, status, and scheduling needs.
- Identify parts by reviewing drawings, descriptions, and part numbers.
- Operate forklift equipment as required to access inventory safely and efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $23.75 per hour.
- Annual salary range provided: $49,400 to $50,440 per year.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Expected duration: 3 months, with potential for extension.
- Location: Barrie, ON.
- Initial training schedule: Day shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
- Future assigned shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm, following required training and competency assessment.
