Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Revenue Accountant to manage accounting activities related to crude purchases and refined product sales. This role serves as a key link between Marketing, Process Engineering Services, and Finance, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance for all transactions. The successful candidate will bring strong oil and gas accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. This position is open to candidates located in Calgary and Edmonton.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Record contractual sales of refined products (primarily diesel) and purchases / sales of feedstock (primarily diluted bitumen)
- Reconcile truck and rail lifting volumes with scheduling and third-party providers
- Support Accounts Receivable and resolve billing and settlement issues promptly
- Reconcile and balance crude and refined product purchases, sales, and inventories
- Prepare monthly volume accruals and review pipeline statements
- Assist production accounting and scheduling functions
- Maintain accuracy of the counterparty database and support credit review processes
- Reconcile weigh scale data with Operations, Engineering, and customers
- Prepare monthly fuel tax reconciliations and file with government agencies
- Generate sales and purchase reports for stakeholder reporting
- Assist in budget development and cost variance analysis for Supply & Marketing
- Collaborate across teams to ensure exceptional internal and external stakeholder service
