Job description

Dawson Construction is looking for skilled, passionate people to help us safely connect our communities.

As an Administrative Assistant at , you will play a key role in supporting project operations and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish. This is a temporary full-time position, where you will report directly to the Manager of Equipment and Assets and collaborate with project teams to help deliver high-quality construction projects. Your base location will be Knutsford, British Columbia.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
  • Arrange travel and accommodations, and prepare vouchers.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, faxing and data entry.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist or front office representative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and resourceful when issues arise.
  • Exceptional multitasking and time management skills.
