At JBS Equipment, we are dedicated to manufacturing top‑of‑the‑line agricultural equipment used in various locations around the globe. Based in Mission, BC, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and innovation.
We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our growing team and contribute to a dynamic operation.
Base pay range : CA$100,000.00 / yr – CA$130,000.00 / yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily operations within the finance and accounting department.
- Direct and coordinate financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting with the executive team.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and prepare detailed management reporting.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Prepare financial analysis to support contract negotiations, product investment decisions, capital planning, and profitability improvement.
- Direct internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and implementing recommendations for procedural and control improvements.
- Manage and monitor foreign currency trading and related risk exposure.
- Oversee job costing, support profitability analysis, and provide recommendations on product selling costs.
- Prepare compliance reports required by financial institutions and external stakeholders, ensuring timely submission.
- Monitor and manage debt levels, banking relationships, and compliance with lending covenants.
- Prepare all required documentation for the company’s annual SRED (Scientific Research & Experimental Development) claim.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including WCB, GST, PST, CRA, audits, and filings.
- Direct and coordinate debt financing activities and debt service payments with lenders and external agencies.
- Improve and optimize departmental and organizational financial processes, policies, and systems to support operational goals.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the finance team.
