Are you ready to be part of a transformative mining project in Québec? We’re looking for a Project Lead who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about contributing to every stage of a mine’s development—from early studies to construction and commissioning. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a site from the ground up, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll lead project mandates, organize and plan work, and collaborate on the preparation of tender documents for engineering studies, equipment procurement, and site execution. You’ll coordinate with engineering teams to ensure design criteria are met, participate in contractor selection and contract development, and support capital planning and justification processes. Your ability to communicate clearly and maintain strong relationships will be key as you oversee daily project activities and reporting.
You’ll also take ownership of project controls, including budget tracking, schedule adherence, and risk management. Producing insightful progress reports and maintaining financial forecasts will be part of your routine. On-site, On the project sites, you’ll guide and motivate teams, foster a culture of safety and environmental respect, and ensure quality control of completed work. Your leadership will help to align health and safety goals and create a safe, inclusive work environment for all.
Sustainability and community engagement are central to this role. You’ll be expected to model responsible practices, comply with all site regulations, and proactively identify and address risks. Your technical expertise and creative problem-solving will be essential as you navigate complex challenges with minimal supervision, ensuring high standards and measurable impact across teams and departments.
Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed
To succeed, you’ll need a post secondary education in civil, mining, geological, construction, or mechanical engineering, or a related field. You bring 5 plus years of experience in mining or a similar industry, including at least 5 years in project, engineering, or site management. Able to split time between office and field are essential. Bilingualism (French and English) is a strong asset.
