Position Summary :
We have an opening for an Account Manager to cover existing managed accounts in Leamington, ON and providing territory coverage to build business within this area. This position would be based in our Leamington branch. Reporting to the District Sales Manager – West, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to new and existing accounts. The Account Manager will support our corporate strategy by expanding share of wallet in existing customers and acquiring new accounts by providing unique value to win new business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Determines sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation and periodic research
- Promotes WFS Ltd. products and services to customers through value-based conversations
- Maintains a high level of relevant product knowledge
- Assists customers with problems by comparing and introducing products
- Determines customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products
- Identifies and reports actual and potential cost savings to customers on a proactive basis
- Communicates regularly with branch staff in order to resolve customer issues
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with customers and our internal team
- Assists Inside Customer Service Representatives with the development and maintenance of customers contracts and quotes
- Maintains customer contracts and follows up on customer quotes
- Makes sales calls with vendor representatives and other resources
- Develops a proactive sales plan and strategy to increase sales of new and existing customers and records and reports activity through monthly pipeline reviews
- Calls on existing and new customers based on the sales plan
- Aims to increase share of wallet within existing accounts with attention to margin
- Responsible for profit margin and expenses relating to buy and sell agreements
- Follows all safety protocol in compliance with WFS Health and Safety policies and procedures, local customer policies and procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Presents a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
- All other duties as assigned
