As a Strategic Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 5 phased program to learn every aspect of our business from shipping and receiving, to sales, operations, purchasing, account management and everything in between.
Additional duties will include:
Phase 1 -Warehouse Logistics and Administration
- Learn the products we sell, how they get from the vendor to the customer and understand all levels of sales support.
Phase 2 - Operations and Inside Sales
- Get involved in our customer service, order management, inventory and pricing, credit management, financial statements, and much more…
Phase 3 - Project Management
- Go from helping customers with various product and service issues to managing large-scale projects.
Phase 4 - Outside Sales/Account Management
- Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships.
Phase 5 - In this phase, you can take all of your training and determine your ideal career path.
Qualifications
- Natural ability to connect with people, paired with a strong sales mindset and drive to win business
- Self-starter with a proactive approach—takes initiative without needing direction
- Curious and motivated to continuously learn, especially technical products and specifications
- Highly organized with strong time and email management skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, energetic attitude with a results-oriented mindset
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness and follow-through
- Strong work ethic and high level of integrity—you do what you say you’ll do
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
Additional Information
Salary Range: $45,000+ plus profit sharing
