Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Senior Corporate Affairs and Engagement Officer and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the PRIVACY AND CORPORATE AFFAIRS OFFICER serves as the Personal Health Information Officer, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Coordinator and is responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to the Corporate Office for a variety of initiatives and other related duties as assigned.
Experience
Three-to-five (3-5) years’ related experience in the privacy field, preferably in a health care environment; understanding privacy and other legislation; developing / reviewing policies and procedures.
Note : An equivalent combination of education and experience, as deemed recognized by the Hospital, may be considered in lieu of the above.
Education (Degree / Diploma / Certificate)
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably public administration, business, political studies or a similar field.
- A Master’s degree in one of those same fields is preferred but not required.
