We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer in the Corner Brook area, Newfoundland and Labrador to lead and oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil / municipal infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate must have a robust background in civil engineering, with a strong focus on municipal systems, and a proven track record of successful project management. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing community infrastructure and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Duties :
- Project Leadership : Lead the planning, site development, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, water supply, and wastewater management.
- Team Management : Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Client Interaction : Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Build and maintain strong relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring project requirements are met.
- Technical Expertise : Apply advanced engineering principles to develop innovative solutions that address complex municipal challenges. Oversee the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices and standards.
- Budget and Schedule Management : Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Quality Assurance : Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards of engineering excellence and project deliverables.
- Sustainability Focus : Integrate sustainable design practices into projects, promoting environmental stewardship and long-term community benefits.
