The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also ensure that the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.
What You'll Do
Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams, participate in recruitment and interviewing of candidates, train associates on OBWs / SOPs and Walmart workflow and ensure execution. Develop, assess, motivate and retain team members. Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers. Develop a functional and collaborative relationship with the Prof Services District Manager, the Store Management team, and the Store Manager. Operate the Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets. Manage associate scheduling, performance reviews, and business action plans. Maintain accurate inventories and address customer complaints to ensure excellent customer experience. Keep the Pharmacy appearance and hygiene standards. Communicate cascading messages from the SSC. Execute all programs assigned by the Prof Services team. Build relationships with health care providers and ensure pharmacy open during posted business hours. Supervise OTC manager. Accept prescriptions, perform accurate and safe dispensing, counsel patients, manage product storage, and execute OBWs / SOPs. Operate pharmacy equipment, protect patient privacy, and provide eligible services such as medication reviews and injections.
Minimum Qualifications
- Age - 16 or older
- License - Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta : CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
