Job descriptionCo-ordinating the pastoral care of our younger women; Transitioning women who are new to church into the life of the church; Conducting pastoral visits with women (as appropriate); Assisting with helping out with our Youth ministry (as appropriate). Assist in managing the church roster; Assist in recruiting people in works of service; Being involved up front in the Sunday gathering (such as praying, kids talks, etc). be a committed Christian who loves Jesus and is keen to see others to grow in Him; have completed at least a Diploma of Theology at a Reformed Evangelical Bible College or at least 12 months demonstrated experience in teaching the Bible to children, teenagers or adults; demonstrated experience in leading a kids church ministry (either as a volunteer or paid); demonstrating experience in conducting one-on-one pastoral meetings; adheres to the Westminster Confession of Faith, read in light of the Declaratory Statement.

Abbotsford Presbyterian Church (in Sydney’s Inner West), a growing church in the reformed evangelical tradition, is seeking a suitable woman to be our full time Assistant Pastor who will have a particular focus on kids and women.
The role is up to a full time position (part-time options are also available). The terms of the appointment would be a minimum of 2 years. The commencement date for the position is ideally for the start of January 2026 but is negotiable.
The role comprises of 3 main areas :
1. Kids Ministry (40% of the role)
This involves :
- Discipling, assessing and training of Kids church leaders;
- Teaching SRE at our local public schools;
- Develop initiatives to help parents in discipling their children;
- Co-ordinating the Abbotsford church involvement in the KCentral ministry.
2. Other Pastoral responsibilities (40% of the role)
