VCA California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario is the largest 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital in the Inland Empire.
We have provided exceptional veterinary service and patient care for the past decade. We are seeking a motivated, experienced credentialed technician (RVT) for our ERCC Department to work with a strong team in a fast-paced environment. If you possess these skills, this could be a good fit for you.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor and perform treatments for patients requiring intensive management, recognize significant changes in the patient’s condition, and notify the Doctor.
- Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement on critical patients.
- Perform anesthetic induction and monitoring of sensitive and critically ill patients.
- Handle specialized equipment and be willing to learn new skills.
- Care for urinary catheters, central lines, and nasal gastric tubes.
- Calculate CRI and medication dosages accurately.
- Run in-house lab samples and handle submissions to outside laboratories.
- Pay attention to detail, especially regarding discrepancies in patient care and treatments.
- Work productively with minimal supervision.
Compensation and Benefits :
Compensation : $25 - $27 / hour, negotiable based on experience and credentials. Shift differential available for weekend later hours.
