What you will do :

Administrative Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform general administrative support functions such as answering and transferring phone calls
  • Greet and direct all clients and guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assigning walk-ins or incoming calls to advisors for quoting
  • Sort, distribute and log incoming and outgoing mail and courier
  • Banking transactions – process incoming payments
  • Maintain adequate stock of relevant forms and offices supplies
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Working within defined limits of authority, consistently provide high quality decisions that support the achievement of Heartland’s financial targets in accordance with the Operational Plan;
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to constantly enhance the quality of decision making and risk selection;
  • Support a renewal portfolio of clients and coordinating the discussion of renewal strategies with Advisors and Underwriters.
  • Review renewals, endorsements, cancellations, payment notices ensuring accurate processing of policy documentation
  • Review and maintain farm and commercial specific documents such as statement of values, loss prevention inspection reports
  • Accurately maintain and update client database as required
  • Handling routine inquiries (Respond to inquiries from clients and Underwriting)

  • Providing exceptional and prompt service to clients, Advisors and Underwriters.

  • Completion of OSSD. Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in the insurance industry and / or a sales office.
  • Must have an OTL agent license or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (assistance provided).
  • Familiarity with PowerBroker or other Broker Management Systems is an asset.
  • The salary range for this role is $50,000- $73,600. The salary for the successful candidate will be determined by various factors including but not limited to an individual’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, along with internal equity, and market considerations.
