Our General Managers lead our schools and help our students learn music and life skills. The General Manager runs the show from A(C / DC) to Z(Ztop), creating a safe and cool environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential. The General Manager is responsible for improving efficiency and increasing location profitability while managing the school’s operations.
The Role : General Manager, Burnaby
As a new franchise location, this is a unique entrepreneurial opportunity to shape and structure the business, have a significant impact on the franchise location, and be an integral part of its journey.
One of the most important success factors of School of Rock franchises worldwide is the ability of the General Manager (and their team) to create a community with the students, their families, and the city. Hence, it is crucial for the General Manager to become a promoter of the company's values and to genuinely care about the students' growth.
As the General Manager, you will be at the heart of our school’s success, working closely with the owner to develop and execute business strategies, grow and manage a dynamic team, and create and maintain a positive and exciting learning environment.
Location : The school will be located in Burnaby, BC. Once established, this will be an on-site position. The position offers a WeWork membership while a location for the school is being determined, and would require a commitment to use it at least 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Collaborate with the owner to set and execute business strategies, develop the team, and grow the school’s presence in the community.
- Operational Excellence : Oversee all aspects of school operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and a safe, engaging environment for students and instructors.
- Financial Management : Set and manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and utilize P&Ls to drive profitability.
- Team Development : Recruit, train, and manage staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive culture that promotes personal and professional growth.
- Community Engagement : Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and educational institutions to increase visibility and create performance opportunities.
- Customer Experience : Deliver exceptional customer service, managing billing, schedules, and communication to maximize student enrollment and satisfaction.
- Performances : Oversee show production and management, providing students with inspiring opportunities to showcase their talents.
