Class 3 Driver - Stone Slinger Operator
BC Eco Industrial Services is seeking an experienced Class 3 Driver / Stone Slinger Operator to join our operations team in Nelson, BC. As part of The Sutherland Group of Companies, BC Eco offers stable, local work, a strong safety culture, and opportunities to grow your skills while operating well‑maintained equipment on a variety of industrial and resource‑sector projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating a stone slinger truck to deliver and place gravel, sand, and aggregate
- Working closely with site supervisors, contractors, and homeowners
- Performing pre‑trip, post‑trip, and daily equipment inspections
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional job site
- Following WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies
- Assisting with general site tasks when required
- Representing The Sutherland Group professionally on all job sites
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
As a member of the BC Eco Industrial Ltd, we expect you bring the following to the table:
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License (required)
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Experience operating commercial vehicles or construction equipment
- Construction site experience is an asset
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- Safety‑focused and reliable work ethic
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying conditions
POSITION BENEFITS
