Job description

🚛 We are hiring: Dispatcher position 🚦
📍 Location: Lachine
🕒 Position: Full time from 5:00 am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday
📁 Industry: Trucking

Supports daily dispatch and logistics operations, including email management, driver support, vehicle tracking, mobile device configuration and data updates in dispatch systems.

It also involves coordination with external carriers, hotel reservations for drivers, updating delivery statuses, as well as managing fuel cards, site access and reporting tools. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to ensure smooth transport operations and prompt problem solving.

Advantages
- Monday to Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m
- Working week of 40 hours
- Salary between $55,000 and $65,000

Responsibilities
-Manage the dispatching mailbox and ensure quick follow-up
-Add and remove units (vehicles) in the dispatch system
-Send loading authorizations and respond to driver requests
-Update the dock locations for GM, CN, and Honda
-You have the option to configure, track and troubleshoot drivers' mobile devices
-It is a decision support and decision-making tool that can be used in the context of human resources management
-Check that all doors, gates and sensitive areas are locked
-Manage access via the Igloohome app (additions and deletions)
-Make hotel reservations for drivers with the Choice account
-Update Super Dispatch when orders are delivered in Magnus
-Manage the Pipeline, Irving, and Comdata fuel cards (additions, deletions, tracking)
-Open maintenance tickets in MIR in case of breakdown reported by a driver
-Track transit shipments over 5 days with external brokers
-You are responsible for the management of all company activities, organization and project implementation
-You have the option to extract and track weekly arrears reports, communicate with CN or manufacturers
-Add the non-model commands to Magnus and decode them
-Manage the loading and delivery of "Snowbirds" in Transnet and Magnus
-Produce ad hoc purchase reports for Ford
-Manage the Honda outlets in the absence of the colleague responsible
-Generate and maintain Toyota reports
-Update the loads of external carriers and ensure the necessary follow-up

Qualifications
-Diploma in transport logistics or relevant certification
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics and/or dispatching position
-Excellent command of the M365 standard
-Experience working with unionized drivers (asset)
-Proficiency in transport management software (e.g. Magnus, Super Dispatch, Transnet, MIR)
-Ability to quickly use and learn technological tools such as Anydesk, Igloohome or other mobile tracking systems
-Strong organizational, priority management and multitasking skills
-Ability to work under pressure and independently
-Attention to detail and rigor in entering and updating data
-Sense of service, team spirit, and proactive attitude to resolve issues quickly
-Availability to work flexible hours or outside working hours in case of emergency (as required)
-Any other related tasks
