Are you ready for a change? Consider the role of an integrated behavioral health clinician working within a multidisciplinary team. This is a part-time, 20-hour position providing care to students within the School-Based Health Center at Boothbay Regional High School and Elementary School located at 236 Townsend Ave, Boothbay Harbor. The position offers the option of year-round employment or working the school calendar.
The behavioral health clinician will work closely with the school-based health center medical provider and school personnel to support students. This role provides easy access to care where students spend most of their day, reducing stigma and increasing participation.
The clinician's responsibilities include conducting screening, assessments, and focused brief treatment for students utilizing the health center. Treatment includes individual, family, and group sessions. Additional duties involve providing curbside consultation to providers, linking students to additional services, and participating in population health activities targeting specific groups. Candidates must be comfortable working with children, adolescents, and their families. Knowledge of and interest in treating substance use disorders is preferred.
This position benefits from being part of a larger team experienced in integrated care, with collaboration involving psychiatrists and other clinicians within MaineHealth. Benefits include individual and group supervision, psychiatry consultation, and quarterly training.
