About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary Full-Time Planner – Integrated Supply Chain for a project based role focused on developing capacity planning scenarios across our national supply chain network.

The Integrated Supply Chain Planning Team strives to improve Canadian Blood Services’ approach to supply planning and inventory management across the supply chain, through the implementation of best practices, policies, programs, tools, and systems. This group functions as the central coordination team for ensuring that our products supply is balanced with expected demand and that supply and inventory impacts are considered, understood, and mitigated in alignment with organizational expectations for projects and programs that may impact supply.

This role will perform the same core integrated supply chain planning activities, but with a primary focus on a defined project to create, assess, and model capacity planning scenarios across the network. The outcomes of this work will support decision-making related to current and future-state supply chain capacity, constraints, and trade-offs.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Supply Chain operations.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in a non-for-profit environment an asset.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • SAP competency/experience in specific analytical tool implementation would be beneficial.

What we offer you

  • Payment in lieu for vacation and benefits
  • Annual performance award up to 8%.
  • Defined benefit pension plan.
  • Employee discounts, wellness program, professional resources.

What you can expect

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/ 2 days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours a day.
