Intlvac is a high-tech industrial manufacturing company based in Halton Hills, Ontario. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Vacuum Pump Repair Technician to join our team. Intlvac is a world leader in the field of thin film deposition technology with a team comprised of top scientific researchers, software programmers, mechanical and electrical engineers.Position SummaryIn the Senior Vacuum Pump Repair Technician role, you will oversee the pump repair department whose tasks include the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various types of vacuum pumps, ensuring they are restored to optimal performance. Key Responsibilities – Manage and Coordinate team activities including :

• Diagnosis and Repair :  Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of vacuum pumps, including rotary vane, diaphragm, and scroll.
• Maintenance and Overhaul :  Conduct preventive maintenance and complete overhauls, replacing worn-out parts and fluids as needed.
• Testing and Quality Assurance :  Test repaired pumps to ensure proper operation and performance before shipment.
• Documentation :  Maintain accurate repair logs, including details of diagnostics, parts used, and work performed.
• Customer Communication :  Provide feedback and recommendations to customers about repair options, preventive care, and maintenance schedules.
• Workshop Organization :  Keep work areas clean, organized, and equipped with necessary tools and spare parts.
• Shipping Preparation :  Drain oil, secure pumps, and prepare them for shipment with necessary labels and instructions.QualificationsEducation :  Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent required; Project Management or Leadership training an asset; written and verbal English language proficiency required.Experience :  Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with vacuum pumps or related mechanical systems; previous repair experience required; previous experience managing a team required.Skills : Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.Familiarity with tools and equipment used in pump repair.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesAbility to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).Comfortable working in a workshop environment and handling grease, oils, and cleaning agents.Job DescriptionLocation :  on site at Halton Hills, Ontario location (no remote option) Rate : $34.07 / hr; 40 hours per week                            Position Type :  Permanent, Full-time, days, Monday to FridayBenefits : Health and Dental benefits, Life Insurance How to ApplyIf you are passionate about mechanical systems, possess leadership experience and thrive in a hands-on repair environment, we'd love to hear from you.
