Job Title: Assembler – Afternoon Shift
Job Description
The Assembler on the afternoon shift will accurately piece together mechanical and electrical components into finished units by following drawings, diagrams, and established procedures. This role uses hand and power tools, as well as test equipment, to perform subassemblies and final assemblies, verify quality, and meet production targets in a clean, well-organized manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of subassembly and final assembly operations on units of varying shapes and sizes.
- Follow established methods, procedures, drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics to complete designated assemblies.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble mechanical and electrical components.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, including wiring, fastening, and component installation.
- Conduct tests on assembled units using appropriate test equipment, analyze the results, and accurately record test data.
- Verify that each completed job meets all specified requirements and quality standards before it leaves the work center.
- Meet or exceed established production levels while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
- Participate in supplier development activities as required to support continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and operational procedures.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1.5+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Minimum 1.5+ years of experience performing electrical assembly, including basic wiring and component installation.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly work.
- Experience working from blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics to complete assemblies accurately.
- Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Capability to conduct, analyze, and record test results using appropriate test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on meeting quality and production requirements.
- Ability to work effectively on an afternoon shift schedule.

- Experience in both mechanical and electrical assembly environments.
- Familiarity with using test equipment to verify functionality of assembled units.
- Comfort working with variable unit shapes and sizes in a production setting.

Work Environment
This role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing facility of over 200,000 square feet, featuring six assembly workstations, eight welding cells, a paint booth, and an epoxy mold department with more than ten machines. The workplace is very clean, with bright lighting and very high ceilings, creating a comfortable and well-lit environment for detailed assembly work. You will primarily work at designated assembly stations using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment, surrounded by a friendly team and supportive supervisors on the afternoon shift.
