Scope
Looking to take the next exciting step in your career? As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for on-site reviews and related regulatory work for all building types to verify the construction is completed in compliance with applicable City of Surrey bylaws, the BC Building Code and other regulations
Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice, assistance, interpretation and information to the general public, contractors, owners, architects and engineers on matters related to work.
- Read and interpret building plans.
- Suggest alternate methods of complying with codes, regulations and requirements where difficult situations arise.
- Write reports and correspondence on issues including but not limited to inspections, complaints and investigations
- Post stop work and no occupancy notices.
- Answer counter and telephone enquiries, including complaints.
- Other job-related duties as required.
