Job description

Job Title: Solderer – Electronic AssemblyLocation: Cornwall, OntarioWork Type: PermanentSalary: $23.00 - $24.00 per hourVacancy: Existing vacancyAre you experienced in fine electronic component soldering and looking for a new opportunity, we are recruiting! Working with the team you will be soldering electronic assemblies and performing electronic or electro-mechanical assembly on assemblies and sub-assemblies, dexterity is key!What you'll do

  • Soldering assemblies
  • Electronic and mechanical assembly of assemblies and sub-assemblies according to drawings.
  • Dependent on level of experience, may work on ‘first piece’ assemblies originating from new designs.
  • Based on experience, may assist with inspection when required;
  • Required to participate in and adhere to company Quality, Safety and Environmental standards
  • Teamwork – for example, constructive contributions to team, co-operation with others in the team and across the company;
  • Communication – Provide and receive information clearly and effectively;
  • Ensure accuracy and quality – ensure that work is done correctly, completely, consistently and to required standards;
  • Accountable for actions;
  • Operate with integrity;
  • Understand the Customer’s view;
  • Challenge the status quo and embraces change.
  • Safety – Participates in Safety practices, policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment, operates with safety as a priority.

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to learn and multi-task across other areas of the organization, as well as flexibility to work in other parts of the organization;
  • Accuracy of assembly measured by rejection reports, working in accordance with Workmanship Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Great proven manual dexterity, and be ability to read and understand written instructions, as well as technical drawings and parts lists;
  • Previous experience in soldering skills IS required.
  • Have Safety shoes
  • Ability to lift parts up to 30lbs
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform detailed assembly work, work with small parts, read documentation, solder.
  • Ability to pass Controlled Goods.
