Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Food Production Supervisor – Processing & Packaging for one of our valued clients in the food manufacturing sector. This is a great opportunity to lead production teams, support continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety, productivity, and teamwork.

Position Summary

The Food Production Supervisor will manage daily production activities within a food processing and packaging facility, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational knowledge and a passion for developing teams and improving processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily production operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
  • Achieve production targets while upholding strict safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Supervise and mentor production operators and technicians to ensure high performance
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on operational planning and support process improvement initiatives
  • Identify and implement productivity enhancements and cost reduction strategies
  • Assist in managing vendor and supplier relationships as needed
  • Develop and maintain effective training programs to support staff growth and development

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of supervisory or operations management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food, bakery, or meat processing
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team-building skills
  • In-depth understanding of production processes, safety regulations, and quality assurance systems
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Engineering, or related fields is an asset

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
