Graduate Student Teaching Assistant, JSGS 882
The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) is recruiting two Teaching Assistants for the Spring/Summer 2026 session to assist with JSGS 882 Strategic Management in the Public Sector.
The general duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistants will be as follows:
- Helping set up materials for classes;
- Assisting with grading;
- Monitoring assignments/discussions/chat rooms;
- Monitoring online activity;
- Assisting with maintaining class records;
- Providing feedback and tracking performance; and
- Conferring with the course instructor.
This position will provide support to Dr. Daniel Dickson, course instructor, and report formally to the JSGS Director of Administration.
The general location of work will be in the Diefenbaker Building on campus where JSGS is located.
Required Number of Hours: 12 hours per week

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
A minimum of a Master’s degree in political science, public policy, or other social sciences discipline is required.
Strong English language communication skills are required. Teaching experience and experience working in the public sector would be considered assets.
The successful candidate must be registered in a graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan in the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and be in good standing. Note that JSGS MPA students are not eligible to apply. Applicants enrolled in either the MPP or the PhD program at JSGS must have completed their coursework.
