Pain Care Clinics provides safe, multidisciplinary treatments for patients that suffer from sub-acute, and chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP). Through exemplary and customized treatment, pain will no longer be a barrier to daily functioning, productivity, and quality of life.

PCC is growing and looking to partner with Pain Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Clinic Nurses, Diagnostic Technicians, and other healthcare providers to join our network of multi-disciplinary Pain and Diagnostic Clinics across Canada. The Physician Assistant serves as a key liaison between physicians, nurses, and the medical team, ensuring coordinated and compassionate care for patients. They play a critical role in delivering effective, patient-centered healthcare.

Responsibilities:

Optimize physician schedule according to physician needs and capacity.Assist physician in ensuring all aspects of charting are up to date and complete.Transcribe verbal patient communication on behalf of physician into EMR.Assist in EMR administration.Provide worksheets and stamps to physician prior to commencing shift.Flag abnormal test results.Transcribe verbal conversation between the physician and the patient into EMR. Physician to review and revise documentation and provide final sign off.Maintain a friendly demeanor with patients while still enforcing the rules and policies of the workplace.Remind patients about in-house pharmacy, self-management, and other programs.Prepare and print all necessary paperwork. (ie. billing sheets, requisitions, prescriptions, etc.)Transcribes consultation reports and treatment plan as per physician direction.Other duties may be assigned based on the specific needs of the healthcare facility.Qualifications

A minimum two (2) years of experience in a medical administrative role. Clinic experience preferred.Proficiency with medical software preferred (OSCAR)Friendly and approachable demeanorAbility to travel to multiple clinics
