Job description
Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Apprentice and Journeyperson Ironworkers to join our esteemed client, one of Canada's largest renewable diesel refineries located in Edmonton, AB. If you are based in Edmonton or nearby cities and possess the necessary qualifications and safety certifications, we encourage you to apply.
Pay Rate : $31.71 – $47.12 / hour ($3 / hour night shift premium), based on qualification
Location : NE and NW of Edmonton, AB | Local residency
Shift : Day and Night Shifts | 8-10 hours Shift
Job type : Full-time |2-month Contract with the possibility of permanent placement
Additional Overtime offered
Duties and Responsibilities :
Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to blueprints and procedures
Perform measurements, cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of parts
Read and interpret drawings and layouts
Install interior structures, hatches, doors, bulkheads, etc.
Utilize various tools and equipment for pipe assembly and welding
Work with different pipe materials such as carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless steel
Requirements and Qualifications :
Eligible to work and reside in Canada
Must be local to Edmonton, AB, or nearby cities
Red Seal or Journeyman Ticket / apprenticeship
Must have the following safety tickets :
WHMIS 2015 (or newer)
CSTS 2009 (or newer)
H2S Awareness
Fit Tested Respirator Mask required
Capable of handling, lifting, carrying, and setting up parts and equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more
Daily commute to work required
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Must be able to pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness to work test, as well as Audiometric Test
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean Driver’s abstract
Daily commute to work required.
