Position : ControllerLocation : Longueuil Salary : $120,000 to $130,000 per yearAbout the jobWe are looking for a CAPEX Controller who will report to the Director of Management Control. The primary responsibility is overseeing and analyzing CAPEX based on financial models. This role also includes both qualitative and quantitative analyses to support effective decision-making for operating and investment expenditures.Key Responsibilities : - Support the engineering team to optimize investment budgeting by improving pricing models impacting P&L and the Balance Sheet. Validate financial models, including supplier finances, to ensure optimal cost / pricing models.- Help the procurement team evaluate tenders for major investment projects, analyzing financial implications of contracts (e.g., penalties, payments).- Prepare monthly investment expense analysis, comparing budget vs. actual and identifying trends.- Support the Capex Program & Action 2020, ensuring alignment with the business plan and improving investment governance.- Validate investment profitability analyses and support the preparation of investment files. Coordinate with the team for approvals and cost optimization.- Assist the engineering / operations teams in meeting their annual budgeted spending goals. Approve and publish approval requests in SAP after validating budgets and expenses.- Support finance team during month-end closing by ensuring proper categorization of Opex / Capex expenses and identifying CIP transactions. Help with CFO reviews and segment reporting.- Ensure internal controls and compliance.
