Job descriptionRecruit, screen and onboard host families, including interviews, home visits and reference checks Match students with host families and coordinate arrivals, departures and relocations Provide ongoing support to students and host families, including mediation and issue resolution Monitor student well‑being and homestay satisfaction Deliver orientations and training for host families and international students Maintain accurate records related to placements, incidents and follow‑up Collaborate with school staff, SIE Advisors, agents and community partners Respond to after‑hours emergencies as part of an on‑call rotation Support program events and community outreach initiatives Post‑secondary education in a related human services field A minimum of five years of experience working with youth, families or in a cross‑cultural environment Strong interpersonal, cross‑cultural and conflict resolution skills The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Strong written and verbal communication skills A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Saskatoon Public Schools is the largest school division in Saskatchewan, serving nearly 29,000 students with the support of more than 3,300 dedicated professional and support staff. Our division includes 48 elementary schools and 10 secondary schools, including a flexible learning program for artists and athletes, and a unique partnership school – Charles Red Hawk Elementary School located on Whitecap Dakota Nation.
Saskatoon Public Schools is seeking applications for the position of Homestay Coordinator with Saskatoon International Education. This position supports international students by recruiting, screening and supporting host families and coordinating safe, welcoming and culturally supportive homestay placements. The Homestay Coordinator works closely with students, host families, school staff and international partners and participates in a rotating 24 / 7 on‑call schedule.
