This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Our client in Niagara Region, ON is actively looking for a HVAC Technician to join their team.
Position Description: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the HVAC & Gas Technician's duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Replace and remove filter and belts, visual inspection of the cabinet, flush drain and water piping, clean all condenser and evap. coils as needed, blow out blower housing and cabinets with nitrogen, check piping insulation, test/check and record refrigerant pressure, test and check electrical thermostat, lubricant applied as needed.
  • Test operation, complete service report for each unit including all necessary data (make/model/serial/general condition, unit/tag area served, work completed, material used.
  • Cooperate with PM engineers to draft technical specifications for the purchase and installation of new equipment or specialized interventions on machines in use. Supervision and verification of the performed job by contractor.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid A Certificate of Qualification for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems.
  • Must have valid G Gas License.
  • At least three years of relevant experience working as an HVAC & Gas Technician, preferably in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting would be considered an asset.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts (days, nights, and afternoons), overtime as required, and the occasional weekends.
  • Mechanical aptitude with proven trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Superior analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, whether working independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong safety track record.
  • A strong willingness to work in a fast-paced, lean environment where adaptability, innovation and hard work are valued above all else.
