Customs Analyst – 6-Month Contract ($22.75–$31.00 / hour)
Location : Windsor, ON
Industry : Automotive / Manufacturing
Schedule : Monday to Friday, Day Shift
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Analyst for a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension or full-time conversion. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in facilitating the compliant and efficient movement of goods across international borders while ensuring all shipments meet applicable regulations and internal standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate inbound and outbound international shipments, ensuring full compliance with customs documentation and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to CBSA and U.S. CBP regulations, including CBSA’s CARM portal.
- Acquire and manage USMCA / CUSMA certificates and respond to inquiries related to trade agreements.
- Review and audit import / export documentation for accuracy prior to customs submission.
- Classify goods using Canadian and U.S. Tariff Schedules and verify duty rates and origin status.
- Liaise with customs brokers, agents, carriers, and internal teams to resolve shipment issues and ensure timely movement of goods.
- Review broker invoices, verify charges, and audit duty applications for accuracy.
- Oversee export declarations via the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS).
- Maintain accurate records for audit readiness and support refund or amendment filings as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
COMPENSATION
22.75–$31.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
