Description

This is not a corporate, remote or office-based position. It is a full‑time, entry‑level role located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations or other operations buildings. Amazon seeks customer‑focused individuals to lead a team of hourly employees across our Operations network. Our warehouses are fast‑paced environments where standing, walking, and having on‑the‑production‑floor conversations are common.

As an Area Manager you will engage, lead and develop your team in a warehouse setting. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and managing your team to meet goals. As a people manager you will ensure your team has all the tools needed to succeed and maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance and performance at work.

Key job responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50‑100 direct report Amazon Associates
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment
• Stand / walk during 12‑hour shifts
• Work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and / or holidays based on business needs, typically a 4‑day work week with 3 days off
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)

The base salary for this position ranges from $70,200 / year up to $83,000 / year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
