As Data Development Team Lead, you manage and grow a team of data developers supporting video game production and operations. You drive clear roadmap planning, ensure timely project delivery, and optimize team efforts to meet evolving production needs, balancing technical execution with operational priorities.
Beyond delivery, you foster strong collaboration within the team and across departments, elevate data development practices, and promote efficient, reliable solutions. Through solid project management and a culture of continuous improvement, you enable data systems that directly support game operations and contribute to the long‑term success of the studio.
In this role you will :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multi‑project team of game data developers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, operational excellence, and clear growth objectives.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute data development initiatives, balancing team capacity with evolving production and operational needs.
- Ensure the timely delivery of high‑quality data infrastructure and pipelines that meet established quality and reliability standards.
- Collaborate closely with leads, directors, and cross‑functional partners (project managers, producers, programmers, and data teams) to ensure proper scoping, prioritization, and execution of initiatives.
- Drive the evolution of data development standards, processes, and role expectations across the Data & Research group through strong project management and collaboration.
- Contribute to scalable processes and solutions that support GaaS (Game as a Service) production and live operations across all stages of development.
What we're looking for :
- A minimum of 9 to 12 years of experience in data.
- Experience leading and managing data teams
- Data quality is a top priority for you, and you fully understand its impact on the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey both creative and technical ideas.
- Strong ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work, while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Solid understanding of video game production and the ability to put yourself in the shoes of the various professionals involved in the production process.
