Front of House (FOH) Manager
A Front of House Manager at Canada's leading casual dining restaurant, Boston Pizza, assists the General Manager with the Restaurant’s daily operations. This includes supporting the training, development, staffing, scheduling, and performance management of the Front of House team members. The Front of House Manager supports the team to ensure that our most important people, our Guests, and team members, have an excellent Boston Pizza experience from start to finish. Duties and Responsibilities
Opening & Closing Duties
Inspect and ensure cleanliness and readiness of FOH areas.Verifyall FOH systems andequipment functionality and stock levels.Lead pre-shift meetings to review daily goals, specials, and service focus.Secure cash, inventory, and premises at closing.
Staff Management
Supervise and support FOH staff during shifts.Assign duties, provide feedback, and manage conflicts.Monitor adherence to company policies and service standards.Assistin hiring, onboarding, and trainingnew staff.
Guest Service
Address guest concerns,inquiriesand complaintsprofessionally and promptly.Ensure high service standards and resolve complaints.Oversee food, beverage, and service quality.Engage with guests for feedback and improvements.
Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain and restock FOH supplies.Reduce wastethroughproper storage,portioncontrol, and inventory rotation practices.
Financial Duties
Overseedailycash handling, including balancing sales journal, tracking tips andtippool.Ensureaccuratereporting of sales, voids,discountsand discrepancies.
Health & Safety Compliance
Enforce hygiene and safetyaccordance withBPI & Alberta Healthregulations.Train staff in food handling,cleanlinessand emergency protocols.Ensureequipmentare wellmaintainedand promptlyreportany hazards or malfunction.
Communication & Reporting
Maintain clear communication with managementabout daily operations,staff performance, and any issues.Submit end-of-shift reportsdetailing incidents, improvement recommendations.Participate in meetingswith management to review performance metrics and operational goals.
Operational Support
Manage POS operationsaccuratelyandassistinmaintainingvendor relations.Ensure FOH organization and cleanliness, includingmaintainingdining area,expo, icemachines, coolers, bar area,washroomandpatios.Promote upsellingby following baseline metricsand execute sales strategies.Step in toaddressstaffing gaps and operational challenges, includingstaff shortages or peak-hour supervision
Qualifications
2 Year restaurant experience
