The Role

Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Building Services / HVAC Engineer to join our Mining & Minerals business team. The role will be reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager; this position is in our Saskatoon, SK office.

• Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market. The salary range for this role is CDN $115,000 - 175,000 per year. Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.

Expected:

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with HVAC design codes, calculations, equipment selection and specification development
• Proven experience in applying ASHRAE Standards, ACGIH, Canadian Building Code, National Plumbing Code, CSA, ASME as it pertains to engineering design of large industrial projects
• Professional Engineer ( in Canada with the ability to register in the province of Saskatchewan, British Columbia or Ontario is required.
• Mining and metal processing, or similar experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills

Desirable:

• 5+ years of related design experience is an asset
• Proven expertise using HAP and Fathom. Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D design/drafting considered an asset
