Description

Ready to make an impact in a global tech leader? At Teledyne DALSA in Waterloo, we create advanced imaging solutions that power industries, science, and even space exploration. As part of Teledyne Technologies, we thrive on innovation and collaboration. If you’re a skilled negotiator with a passion for precision, join us as our next Contracts Manager.

What you`ll do:

The Contracts Manager provides support for the Contracts function for Teledyne Digital Imaging (“TDI”). This includes TDI’s machine vision camera and scientific camera business units worldwide.

The Contracts Manager is responsible for drafting, negotiation and review of contracts for TDI. The Contracts Manager will provide effective contracts management, with the objectives of ensuring compliance with contractual undertakings and applicable laws and regulations, as well as the requirements of TDI’s parent corporation, Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (“Teledyne”).

In this role, the Contracts Manager will work closely with all functions, including Sales and Marketing, Operations/Program Management, and Procurement, to provide support for the implementation of contracts with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

The Contracts Manager must have strong collaboration and effective relationship management capabilities. This is a hands-on role – the Contracts Manager must demonstrate initiative and drive matters to conclusion in a timely manner.

The Contracts Manager reports to the Director, Contracts & Legal, for Teledyne Digital Imaging. International and domestic travel is a requirement of this position. The Contracts Manager will ideally be based at a Teledyne office located in North America. Hybrid (office/remote) working arrangements will be considered for this position.

  • Support the preparation of tenders and proposals for the sale/supply of TDI products and services in response to Requests for Tenders/Proposals and Solicitations, including review of domestic and foreign government procurement regulations;

  • Drafting, negotiation and review of contracts with authorized distributors, sales representatives, OEMs, and other third party sales channels, including conducting due diligence reviews;

  • Drafting, negotiation and review of contracts for the procurement of goods and services, as required;

  • Preparation of Non-Disclosure Agreements and other documents using Teledyne-approved templates, to support the TDI business, including negotiation/drafting of acceptable modifications, as required;

  • Ensure that all quotations/tenders/proposals and contracts are approved and executed in accordance with Teledyne requirements;

  • Provide effective contract management to ensure compliance with TDI contractual commitments;

  • Identify, report and investigate potential disputes/litigation and compliance issues to the Director, Contracts & Legal.

  • Support Teledyne audits and implement corrective actions as required.

  • Other contracts-related duties as assigned.

What You Need :

  • Post-secondary degree in law, business, or commerce is preferred.

  • Experience (+3 years) in contracts management, including drafting and preparation of contracts.

  • Excellent negotiating and persuasive skills, both in one-on-one and group situations.

  • Experience applying organizational standards when preparing tenders/proposals, negotiating terms and conditions, and drafting contracts.

  • Experience and working knowledge of Canadian and U.S. export control regulations.

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and to manage a high volume of work at a detailed level in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in managing complex contracts matters, identifying risks, and developing innovative solutions with a successful record of problem-solving.

  • Ability to interact effectively with other functions.

  • Absolute commitment to performing job in compliance with the highest ethical standards.
